Celebrating the End of the Fish Hawker Project

Encounters Lead Artist Shelley Castle and Project Manager Clare Parker pressed send on the final report for the Heritage Lottery Funded ‘Fish Hawkers’ project, the second in a series of the ‘Museum of Now’ programme that works with local museums and communities to create new works of art that explore people, place and planet.

To celebrate this here are some images of the museum panel; embroidered costumes; banners; baskets, and the wonderful song created for the project written by Maggie Duffy.

Encounters would like to thank everyone in Brixham who got involved and helped make this a successful, hearty project and look forward to working again in the area.
