Graphic art and design at Encounters is: presenting visual language to entice people to get involved in activities they will enjoy and that are of critical importance to us all on a human level.
The visual sense is my language and I have explored many aspects of it. I began and continue to be an artist/painter (BA Hons 1st). Now I specialise in Graphic design but have previously taught art at many levels including community, secondary school (PGCE), at foundation level and latterly at the St Ives School of Painting. I do all kinds of print design work in many formats and scales and my work can take the form of maps, 3D landscape visualisations, infographics, festival programmes, logos, graphic illustrations, interactive books, 3D constructable print (printed card that the user constructs) and more. I also work with a number of other organisations including the Sustainability Department at Exeter University and other community and arts organisations.
