Our New Website…

Welcome to the new Encounters website, finished in a fashionable brown! This new site is part of our Encounters Digital project, whose objective is to widen our audience, and provide a platform for us to archive the huge amount of content we have collated.

Its a big job; we have already uploaded nearly 12,000 images to the Flickr image hosting service, and still have a cardboard boxes of cds and dvds to go.

Its a very modern site in that different content streams feeding into the pages, images from Flickr and Instagram, tweets from Twitter, and Calendar info from Google. Behind the scenes we are creating new ways of working that integrates ‘fresh’ content quickly into the digital world.

We look forward to developing the site further with some exciting new digital projects over the summer.
